It is with great sadness we are announcing that our World Lupus Day Walk 2020 will not go ahead on Sunday 10 May 2020.
We would like to say how sorry we are, and to thank everyone for your passion, enthusiasm and support in the lead up to the walk. We know you, our wonderful supporters, will be as disappointed as we are.
Ever since The Hibbs Lupus Trust was founded in October 2011, our World Lupus Day Walk has brought together the lupus community in a day of celebration and awareness that has reached around the world. But we know you will agree that under the current circumstances, it is the right thing to do.
We will start to process refunds as quickly as possible this week but in the mean time, if you have any questions please contact us.
The UK is entering a long period of self isolation and social distancing, with lupus patients amongst the group most ‘at risk’. In case you haven’t seen it, please take a look at our latest advice. We continue to keep this regularly updated.
Our small team have been working tirelessly in recent days and weeks to support our lupus community through this difficult period. We know this uncertain time is causing anxiety and we just wanted to say we are here for you.
Thank you for your patience, support and understanding during this extraordinary and challenging situation.
John & Viki.

I was doing the walk in memory of my daughter Sarah, who passed away last November. I no what she would be saying “we don’t want a refund” please donate this to the lupus charity if this can be done
Thank you for all the hard work you do.
Sarah’s mum Lynn xx
Hello Lynn, thank you very much for your kindness. I’m sorry that we have had to cancel, I was very much looking forward to meeting you all and learning more about Sarah. I hope that you will be able to join us in 2021. Take care and once again thank you for your support. John.
Hi John,
It is disappointing this has had to be cancelled. Please keep our walk entry fee. If we can we will be a virtual walk.
Stay safe!
Kind regards,
Toni, Jon & Harley Tull
Thank you for your support, take care and we’ll see you all soon x
Please keep my entrance fees I don’t want a refund. It may be worth asking people rather than issuing refunds. I know for sure that there was a few of us doing it and we would rather at least you keep the entrance fee. Although we can’t walk this year it will make people feel like they have contributed something x
Please keep my entry fee’s too.
Unfortunate circumstances, hopefully it will go ahead when all this is over.
Stay safe everybody
Hi Loraine, Thank you very much. The refunds have already been processed and should be back in accounts in 7-10 days. With everything going on and a lot of people affected in terms of employment I didn’t want to add to those pressures by asking for the donation. If anyone wants to make a donation in lieu of the walk it would be very much appreciated. This can be done at https://www.hibbslupustrust.org/donate/
Thank you again and I hope to see you in 2021 walking for lupus.
