What is Lupus - The Hibbs Lupus Trust

How are you feeling today? Talking to someone can make a big difference. Whether it’s to a relative, friend, partner or healthcare professional, never be afraid to open up about how you’re feeling.

Whether you want to share your own experiences of managing lupus, or learn more about the challenges and successes others have experienced, our online community will connect you with real people who share the same everyday experiences.

How to protect your mental health

Have breaks from social media and mute things which are triggering. During times of stress, pay attention to your own needs and feelings. Engage in healthy activities that you enjoy and find relaxing. Exercise regularly, keep regular sleep routines and eat healthy food. Keep things in perspective. Public health agencies and experts in all countries are working on the outbreak to ensure the availability of the best care to those affected.

Information can also be found on the NHS Every Mind Matters website.

There are lots of professionals to help you through the tough times, this could be your local GP or someone at SamaritansAnxiety UK or Mind. If you think you need it, asking for help could be the most important thing you do today.
