Hadrian’s Wall was built in AD122 on the orders of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, and stretched from the East to West coasts of Britain from Bowness on Solway in the West to Wallsend in the East. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site which cuts through Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall attracts trekkers from all over as it offers great challenging walks, filled with a stunning backdrop and history.

Global Adventure Challenges
1 Day Itinerary
We meet for event registration and then take the transfer to our start point, close to Housesteads Roman Fort. We walk along the magnificent Hadrian’s Wall with its challenging undulations. The start of our route offers us breath-taking views across Northumberland National Park at Peel crags and then we continue striding along some of the most beautiful and visible sections of the wall passing many roman forts or “Milecastles” as they were once called. With weary legs we reach our finish point at Wall Town National Park Centre for a well-deserved glass of fizz! Trekking distance – approx. 25km (Itinerary correct at time of printing, and strictly subject to change).
