Yesterday we travelled to London for the Giving Tuesday reception at The Houses of Parliament. It was great to hear speeches from the organisers as well as the Minister for Civil Society. The event also gave us an opportunity to spread the word about the Trust and our plans for Giving Tuesday on 1st December.
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving. After the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to come together to show the world why it’s good to give. Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering your time or just spreading the word at the start of the Christmas shopping season, #GivingTuesday is a call to action for everyone who wants to give something back.
We aim to use #GivingTuesday to raise greater awareness of lupus across the UK by giving people the opportunity to get involved in supporting the #LHandSign Campaign. Everyone can easily get involved in raising awareness of lupus by raising their right hand in the shape of an L and posting the image across their social media accounts such as facebook, twitter and Instagram which ultimately starts the conversation: ‘what is lupus?’.
We’d love your support and can’t wait to see your #LHandSign photos! Find out how you can get involved and help The Hibbs Lupus Trust!
